Hatha Yoga

There is an ancient hindu system, known as Hatha Yoga, which works with the body's nervous system. It helps to release tension and creates renewed energy, this has lead many people, yoga teachers included, to come to look upon this Indian physical science as purely an exercise for health and vitality of the mind and body.

Although it does that it also does very much more. Hatha yoga practice is more spiritual than physical, more subtle than gross, it is meant to be a way of understanding rather than an exotic way to relieve stress or for just limbering up the body.

There are many complex routines that go into making Hatha Yoga a well balanced system ideal for daily use. For the preparation of meditation there is very little else that is needed, you will be able to free your mind of thoughts and rid yourself of tension. You will become more aware of your own divinity and become more serene, which in turn will make you feel more alive and invigorated.

Hatha Yoga has a spiritual purpose, and that is to balance both the physical and physic energiesso that the practitioner is fully prepared for meditation.

The true aim of Hatha Yoga is to aid us in relaxing the mind, body and emotions so that we may awaken our enlightened consciousness and discover our inner self.
